The high-crowned headware quickly caught viewers' attention and even got its own Twitter account.

Following the show, the hit-making producer told The Grammys YouTube channel that the brown Buffalo hat was made by Vivienne Westwood and designed by Malcolm McLaren.

Apparently, Pharrell wasn't looking to make any sort of fashion statement when he donned the hat and decided to sport it because he "just liked it."

Pharrell was one of the big winners at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.  He not only earned prizes for his "Get Lucky" collaboration with electronic music duo Daft Punk, but he also earned the golden gramophone for Producer of the Year.
